Once I decided to built a new mountain bike in 2008 my first attempt was to get a Norwid made to measure MTB frame. They have a hard tail model called Thyra and I ordered the frame in real custom design. The tubes were bigger to fit my needs and the color was complete made according to my wishes.

Unfortunately, there were two issues with this frame: The seat tube was very long, so the top tube was too high to give me enough space between frame and body in case of a blocked trail. Also the front tube's inner diameter was slightly too large to fit the headset without further modification.

I asked them to get the frame back and they finally agreed to pay back a reasonable amount of the original price. They use the frame now as a setup example on their homepage.

The rest of the frame was made in absolute perfection so I feel like all this was kind of misconception and fortunate accident. If you have planes to order a Thyra make sure to clarify all questions of geometry.
